Missing you

Dad and I would sit at the kitchen table watching the birds come in to the feeders. He loved watching the different birds from Mockingbirds like this one to cardinals and the many hummingbirds and doves that would come in.

When dad passed away this year I kind of lost all interest in taking pics and blogging. But I am slowly getting back into it, and still have some of dads affairs to settle which isn't easy but I find sitting in the backyard enjoying the birds very relaxing.

I was able to pick up a sigma 150-600c lens which I am getting used to and will be taking it out in the field to get some pictures of wild turkeys. I took some pics of them with my 18-400 lens but can't wait to get back out with the new lens.

This blue Jay has a peanut on it's right side and working on getting the rest of it out of the shell, and it success.

I have 3 cardinals that visit regularly and they are magnificent. The cardinals and Mockingbirds have gotten used to me and I can sit with 6 feet of the feeder and they will still come in. As well as the hummingbirds. The Blue Jays are still very nervous and won't come in. It'll take a while.
