Back Roads

There is just something about a country road that does my heart good. The simple beauty of the lines maybe? Maybe its just that I am a small town girl and this is what I know. Whatever it is, it never fails to grab my attention and make me stop for a moment just to breathe it in.

This one was actually taken out of my windshield while I was driving, so color is kind of funky.

Although the roads are quite different here (not such a nice environment around it) I can imagine how great it must feel to drive there.

These pics reminded me of a David Lynch movie about an old man driving his little tractor across a huge distance along roads like this to see his brother who he hadn't seen for years. I just looked it up and it was called The Straight Story.
