I have been working as a volunteer at HKDR already a year, special thanks to my dog Porkchop, without him, I would not think to get involve to the rescue centre. In this year, I am so happy to be part of the Sunday crew and so happy to know many great volunteers. Thanks to Ali Bullock to teach me the technique of the photo shooting so I can always helping to record some nice pictures.
Thank you for our founder Sally she is the one who save the dogs from different places and our Sunday crew and other volunteers will keep supporting you!
Maggie came to us since last Christmas and she was finally adopted by this nice family yesterday. They are living at Clear Water Bay with a beach just right front of their house, a dog trainer will also go to their house to train Maggie starting this coming week. Maggie will be called Luna, so happy for her!
Happy ending in Homing Day: This Beagle mixed Catherine is adopted by this great family and going home with them in 3 weeks as they are moving to Sai Kung, so happy for her!
Some dogs are digging a hole and let us think about the movie of Prison Break
Angie said one day we come back to the kennels, all the dogs are gone from this tunnel, haha
We now have 5 GRs, (L to R), Anna, Karina, Victor, Charlie and Curlylocks
Curlylocks even know how to do salute, what a good girl!
Norma with her free walking Agatha
What a funny smile of Kitty with her love one Storm
Debes' favourite Pip
Homing Day: WNP's staff really like Bacon a lot
Hope Bacon will be homed really soon!
Sally tells me this little pup Victoria was found beside the water fall around our kennels area yesterday, she is really cute
This is Joey
Oh, this is my favourite one, she is Mia
She is Madonna
This pup named Domino
He is Marco
Sally seems teaching the kids how to handle the pups and telling them adopting dogs is a lifetime commitement
Hi lovely baby, after 3 weeks when you move to Sai Kung, Catherine will be part your family lar!
Our Sunday crew, you guys are the best!
By the way, this is my dog Porkchop, now 5 years old and he is the one to encourage me to help the rescue dogs, thank you!
Do you still remember the 18 years old mongrel Lily? He is her owner Alfred, he is also the one help us to fix the electricity today. Lily now cannot walk with the wheel chairs and always laying down makes her body with different wounds and Alfred spends at least 45mins to clean her wounds on both sides of her body everyday
But the good thing is Lily never gives up her life, she eats a lot everyday and mom of Alfred prepares a bowl of meat for her dinner each night and she can finish it all!
Cleansing the wounds really takes him at least 45 mins, you may think Lily looks terrible, but every single things around her is full of Alfred's love and I am sure Lily is trying her very best to live on becasue she can feel the love from all of them, she will keep eating to let them know she wants to stay with them until the very last minute, guys, dogs know what we've done for them and Alfred is a very good example we can imitate
