New Bone

Another one of my concert photo experiences: this time it's the band called New Bone with their new project 'Jazzy Witkacy Theatre'.

And, again, here and here you can find some of their music as a background for the photos. ;)

Bartłomiej Prucnal - alto sax

Dominik Wania - piano

Tomasz Kudyk - trumpet, flugelhorn

Dawid Fortuna - drums

Maciej Adamczak - double bass

I love your choice of angles and framing here - you've really caught the mood.

Thank you. :) We've changed the venue recently and this place gives more opportunities to experiment with different angles. ;)

So cool to be able to join music and images together as one. Last one goes to my favs. The portraits are also amazing. Love them in B&W

Thanks! :) I like to do my gig photos in B&W (although there are exeptions sometimes) because of the nice contrasts it creates. It also has a practical reason - scenic LED lights are not good for photographers in my opinion and sometimes it's really hard to make the colours look nice. ;)

Excellent series! Love how you were able to catch each individual musician at work. The mono treatment, perspectives, light/shadow play are all very creative....

Thank you. :) I like capturing them alone or in small groups, because the photos of the whole band are sometimes a bit too 'messy' for me - so many things going on at one moment. So I prefer to separate them and show each individual or pair of artists as a diffefent piece of a jig-saw puzzle - now you can try to put them all together as a one picture. ;)
