Winter lights

Late autumn and winter can be quite difficult for me, as I probably belong to the group of people affected by SAD . Well, I guess that lack of sun, cold and smog - unfortunately widespread in my area - can generally have depressive influence on people. If anyone of you has a similar problem, I wholeheartedly recommend antidepressive lamps as - in my opinion - they can do wonders. :)

However, there is something I really love about winter time, especially in the Christmas season - lights. White, gold, colourful - they are everywhere in the city and make it a totally different place. :) Some of them might be kitchy, but fortunately not all of them, and combined with the winter darkness they bring out this special kind magic which is unavailable at any other time of the year.

And in the same way, I love creating such atmosphere at home, especially using candles, as the fire has a magical and archetype meaning of its own. :) It's like changing your every-day area into some kind of mystical space, where everything is possible and miracles can happen. ;)
