Patchwork in Slovenia.

by Marilyn Grimble January. 07, 2010 2513 views

This morning I was oliged to iron this runner so photographed it before folding and putting it away until next year. Whilst living in Slovenia I joined the International Slovenian Ladies Association. There I met a group of French ladies who enjoyed patchwork…I joined the group in the hope of maintaining my French…and learned to do this into the bargain! The work takes forever; all hand-stitched apart from the mounting and trimming.

That's the sort of handiwork (not to mention patience) that I have no talent for, Marilyn - I admire those who do. This is beautiful, you must love bringing it out each year for the holidays!
