BLAST from the PAST

Far too cold to “sortie” this morning … so a look at times gone by with a very modest camera and no idea how to take a photograph!
Also a tribute to my PB friend MIKA10.

Christmas 1981 … I caught her expression of delighted surprise…but OMG what a disaster! I made her velvet dress for Christmas too.

Please note …she's enjoying our photograph albums … made that dress too.

Aged 16 years with my PB friend MIKA10 …1960 outside my father's shop. Made that dress too!

Aged 17 years … Photo by Mika 10

Aged 17 years…made dress and petticoat! Photograph by Mika 10.
Regent's Park

2003 ..local pub in the U.K.
Before I had a cholesterol problem

Shoulderpads….remember them?

BUSYBEE, my sister, next to me… my 2 daughters and granddaughter opposite…2006

For Lizette ..the last photo I have of my mum… 2002

I took my French neighbour Bea to the U.K.
I snapped her with one of the local guys we call Sharpy!

des souvenirs merveilleux que tu nous présentes...le charme de la photographie de figer des instants, des modes des époques...je ne sais pas si avec le numérique on pourra retrouver des images comme celles ci 20 ou 30 ans après.

These are fantastic! And what a seamstress you are! If only you lived closer. I have a bunch of pants I need taken in and up. (I do not sew)

Looks like you are quite the seamstress Marilyn. Wonderful set of beautiful photos from your "Blast from the Past" Your mom looks very happy to receive that plateful of goodies. Great family memories you have.

That's a lovely set , especially the one of your Mum, did she get a frying pan as a gift on this occasion , just curious as to why it is on the table?

These are fascinating, not only as your personal history, but as snapshots of those long gone times. The cholesterol inducing problem made me smile. Oh how we thought we could get away with it forever.
