TREES I LIKE

This tree is next door … I can never resist photographing it against various skies. It lost a branch last year in a storm and looks even better!

My friends and I used to climb trees when I was young..still love to sit on a log..my daughter Kim and granddaughters like them too..just drawn to a nice big limb or stump to sit..Most kids are..love the composition in #5..good place to sit and dream.

Are they dead?? I dont know why but leafless trees scare me. But they do look pretty in photos. :)

Interesting textures and moss on the first two. I would be tempted to get in quite close.

I rather like the 4th apart from that distracting box thing next to it.

Trees dressed in green are certainly lovely, but trees standing bare in winter - all brave against the seasonal cold - really show how strong, wistful, or dramatic they really are. Lovely set.

Ah, you're appealing to the dog-in-my-former-life here. Here in the Luberon it's mostly coniferous varieties. You have to go hunting around for interesting deciduous ones.

Is that tree in No 3 a silver birch, I love them and they always look so spectacular on those rare occasions when we get freezing fog...
