I really enjoyed taking a chance here. I will post again when framed...

Jill - I've done your nuthatch, at last!

Sunday Gallery

Francois, my picture framer came up with this idea for these two paintings. I was delighted as I wanted something different as the paintings are very different to my normal work. Difficult to see, but the paintings lie an inch below the glass.

Yes - one more to finish - a toucan on black paper - taking me hours - acrylic. Mx
Glad you like the nuthatch. He's nice to paint, very definite lines.

Beautiful Marilyn. I have an architect friend who takes his matted photographs and paints extensions of part of the photos over the mats. You can't tell where the photo ends and the painting begins. Love to be able to do that.

In the first one, I LOVE the tree and background colors in the middle one - and I like the way you continued the tail onto the matting for the left one. Your framer certainly helped showcase the two "head-shots" beautifully. Great work again!

Thanks Brenda - I am trying to do something different as I have this rather prestigious venue for an expo end of September for a week together with 4 other artists, one being my teacher. Mxx

You are very kind Brenda - this is a birding area what with all our ponds and the ornithological park. I am not so worried about selling them, but I do hope interest is shown. My doctor and dentist recently married - I have told them both if there's something they like - it's theirs as a gift.
There are lots of birding enthusiasts hereabouts, so here's hoping there is good attendance.
Years ago when Clinton was president, he and Hilliary visited Perouge ( the venue), the hostelerie still has all the photos around the place and the gallery is next to the hostelerie. Try googling! Mx

:-) - I always prefer water colours once framed.
I am now trying out a toucan on black paper - not as easy as I thought!
Thanks for commenting.
