Away to the South

I need some advice - this is a water colour mounted on black paper.

Should I paint some sort of scene behind the swan or leave it as it it?

I almost think the black is too stark and too much contrast, I would love a little background.

I have tried adding various bits and pieces, by it looks better as it is.
