I don't know the name of this butterfly, can anyone help?

AND I BAKED A CAKE - pineapple and lemon - sadly it's all gone!

Lovely set Marilyn. That's definitely a butterfly (clubbed antennae), It looks like it belongs to the family known as 'fritillaries', It's difficult to say which species without some idea of where in the world it was taken (I can really only be confident of identifying British species). From the paler colouring I'd guess it's a female. You see a peck taken out of the rear of a wing, probably by a bird hoping for lunch.

I live in France, the first time I have seen this butterfly.
Thanks for commenting. Mxx

Wonderful captures - I believe that's a moth, not sure of the species.
