We are surrounded by wonderful countryside in the northwest of England and that countryside can produce some amazing scenes, whether in the blaze of a summer sun or under some angry storm clouds.
Our hedgerows are often small to begin with as they come out of a tough and miserable winter, the foliage low and ready to explode with life.
As the summer sun warms up the ground and the days of rain provide it with nourishment the period of growth begins.
The small branches and shoots start to expand all over the hedges and quite soon the whole area is taken over with new plant growth.
There are tracks and trails that surround the fields and each track is lined with these wonderful hedgerows.
