Cornish sunshine

Sunday 5th has been and gone but the memories remain of a lovely coastal walk starting at a place called Fort Picklecombe with some rock pool exploring and then a walk to Kingsand - Cawsands. As the name says Fort Picklecombe was an actual fort built in the 18th century and was originally built to defend the Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth Devon. However a shot was never fired and the fort was decommissioned and remained empty and derelict for many years until property developers bought it and turned it into luxury flats overlooking the sea. The coastal path walk from Fort Picklecombe takes you to two beautiful little holiday villages Kingsands and Cawsands, they really are picture postcard. Below are some photos of the walk along and a couple of chance encounters with a few butterfly's and bees along the way.
