Ottis Redding - Sittin on the Dock of the Bay [youtube.com]

This morning was cold and had a series of odd events in too short of a time. I was in a kinda grumpy mood. I was hungry but didn't want to go out into nasty weather. I convinced myself that it was worth it if I could get a cinnamon and sugar doughnut from the bakery. As it would seem fitting…they were out of the cinnamon ones! I asked the guy if they still made them or if they were really popular? He tells me “we only make 6 of them a day”. WHY??!!! So I bought something small to be polite and then I still had to decide if I wanted to go buy breakfast. I made a pact with myself…I drove down to the bay front (4 minutes away) and I figured if I was still craving something when I drove back, I would stop at McDonalds. To my surprise, when I got there…my mood changed. I got out of the car and enjoyed the site of the sun glistening off the water. I talked to some fishermen and took the scenery in. In case anyone is wondering, I didn't want McDonalds.

*I did wish I had brought my “real camera”

Great story, great set! I've found that photography has been a cure all for me, be it grumpiness, indifference, whatever ails me-the camera seems to pull me out of it.
