Alpine Autumn

by Matt April. 26, 2012 1834 views

As Summer turns to Autumn,
You change from green to red,
Then orange, and yellow,
Your leaves will soon be dead.

The ice moves in around you,
You have nowhere to go,
Bare, cold, alone,
You fight the Winter snow.

You wish you were an evergreen,
As winds howl through your bones,
And only Spring can save you now,
Here in your alpine home.
