Layers of History

12/10/16 - Here's a picture the world's best archaeology class starting at the ground. The spot we're standing on is an Etruscan road, repaved by Romans, a couple meters under current-day Via Cantina. It is next to a Cathedral that was built over an early Papal Conclave structure that was built over an Etruscan temple. I've never seen a more confusing blueprint in my life.
