elders

they are weak. they are grumpy. they are difficult. often stubbornly insisting on how things are right or wrong, according to rules that for us lose their meaning day by day. this place delivers challenges that we can only deal with case by case. what's there to learn from ancient times?

and yet, they rule. there is honor in surviving as long as they did. we listen to their stories, even if we can't use their experience. we keep them alive until their hardened bodies dry out. then we bury them under the hell stones.

i want to become an elder one day. one day far far away. if i can. it's not going to be easy. there are rules. regulations. unspoken challenges and laws to follow. it's not just privileges. our elders came together today to decide our route for the next moon to come. if they decide wrong, we might die from hunger, thirst, we might run into the red men, we might not find shelter from another fire storm.

i trust them. i still do.

Too many elements around the panel. The idea, though, and related to the text, it´s captivating.
