“nothing scares me, mawey”, shi'nura says with a firm voice, but there is no smile on her face while she walks next to me, her grip tight on bow and arrow. i am herding the packbeasts during our night's stop for which we have chosen a moist, dark and roomy cave that provides at least some shelter from the raven attacks in this fiendish land of plants and creepers toppling over each other feasting on their own decay.
when we reached the cave, it was utterly shady and i did not understand why it should be safer than any other place around here; but it at least gave our soaked clothes a chance to sweat out the swamp fluids, since there was a steady cooling breeze coming out of it, which meant it would be a place not too stale and with enough winds to prevent poisonous gases from accumulating.
and while our eyes adjusted to the dark, suddenly lights popped up all around us, one after one the glitterplants opened up their flowers, shining their blue and purple lights over our tired bolo. my heart stood still for a moment, so overwhelming was the beauty suddenly all around me, and that's when i felt shi'nura's hand in mine. i pressed her fingers hard as we stood and admired the spectacle we had never seen before; and yet my heart was heavy and unable to see more in this but nature's best performance.

Magnifiques la derniere en particulier!!!
