Day 180 Mass Observation Project (Shopping)

Today we went public skating for the first time this season. Sunday afternoons are spent happily skating around the local rink. My kids don't play hockey (a sacrilege in my Southern Ontario hockey town) but they enjoy this.

The concession booth is open for those wanting overpriced hot chocolate, Slushies or nachos. For the younger set (or those with limited funds) there are the candy machines.

Couldn't decide which to post, so I will be the first to post two photos.

Hahaha..... a sacrilege indeed! If you run into Walter Gretzky I'm sure he'll be talking to your boys about the merits of playing Hockey.....lol! Love your arena posting and every parents pet peeve "The Candy Machines"........lol

Even being older than your kids, sometimes I go to stores like that just to buy some chewing gums. i'm very nervous so chewing gums make the ''nervous'' go away!:P

Hmmm. Once in a while I'm lucky enough to remember why I don't want to be a teenager. This is one of the reasons...

I think you've hit on a really important point - quite often we end up shopping even when we set out to do something else.
