omi & opa are coming for coffee

Apple Coffee Cake

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup sour cream
3 apples, peeled, cored and diced

Topping
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp cold butter
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Method
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients, stir into creamed mixture, alternating with sour cream. Stir in apples. Pour into 13 x 9 greased and floured pan.
Topping: combine all ingredients and cut together until crumbly. Sprinkle over batter.
Bake at 350F for 35 - 40 minutes or until tester removes cleanly. (Try) and cool completely.
