that Janome would have been top of the range in its day. Guessing it is still going just as well know as it did when it was first purchased, they are really great machines.

Even when you do retire you won't have the time you would like to do the things you want - always something or someone getting in the way.

At least you won't be bored in your retirement.

I know you shouldn't wish your life away, but I often think of all the things I'll do if ever I retire.

megs - yes! More time, please. I hate the thought that I have to wait for retirement to find the time to add these activities to my daily life.

What a pity you have to wait until retirement. I like the activity of sewing, i just don't like the results.

MelO, you're a woman of parts. I'd propose to you, if I weren't promised to Cookster already :D

Gin - you how women are supposed to be good at multi-tasking? I think I missed out on that gene as well. mox, I don't know about that. When I really LIKE something I make (other than jewelry), I'll let you know.

If I find myself in front of a sewing machine after death, I know I've come to Hell. ;o) Not that I don't like to use it, or don't know how - it's just that every time I use one, I'll sew something together, and not always the parts that are supposed to be stuck together...
Then again, I'm the one who in an attempt at multi-tasking, stapled my own finger. It might have something to do with paying attenOh look at all those pretty colours! ;o)
