Her Camera

Creativeness is only confined by your own perspective, not by the gear you work with.

Just a photo of most of the gear I use to take the photos posted on my blog. Occasionally I will use my friends Nikon when my gear isn't within reach.

Current Camera Gear Collection

This is just some of my collection I have been using to capture my most cherished moments and experiences. I will admit, not all of my photos that I post will be the highest of quality but it's about the subject, story and the feeling that is captured within that moment.

In 2010, my 15year old self noticed a passion and purchased herself a Nikon Coolpix. I saved for months to purchase my first camera and it has stuck by me for years. It may only be able to zoom in, zoom out, video record (not the best of quality) and capture stills but it does the job I need it too.

When going about every day life I only carry my iPhone 6S. Again, not the best of quality but it does the trick and allows me to instantly share my work and feelings in the moment. On occasion I will mix things up and use my clip on lenses to add some creativeness and fun to my photographs.

More recently I purchased myself a Canon EOS 70D. This little baby has been my new toy for the last couple of weeks and all I can say is, I haven't put it down yet. Every opportunity I get I've been out and about, capturing the natural beauty of the world and becoming overly excited when I find the perfect settings. It was definitely worth the tears I shed when entering my pin at the counter and watched the money fly away.

I also like to back all of my photos up on my Toshiba Hard Drive and MacBook Pro. These little babies hold my life and every little moment I've managed to capture, but may have forgotten about over the years.

I hope this gave you some inside as to where my current photography skills are and please, leave me some feedback on my posts. I'd love to know what you think and take onboard any tips you may have.

Follow me, my journey, my experiences, my memories and see the world through my eyes.

Until next time, Mia xx

That is so great. You are already creative without that gear...you have a sense of convincing, of showing image not from your eyes (pictures) but through your words also...That is the storytelling power. Go ahead Mia. I a new here, and try to bring my perspective on board and the image that talks.

Beautifully written, you have earned a follower!
I think 70d is a wonderful camera with many capabilities. As you said, creativity and practice is still needed to produce great results.

You're talent, as witnessed in your bio, for expressing yourself in the written word, compliments your artistic sensibilities with the camera quite nicely! Bravo!
