A spontaneous day trip to the Gold Coast on a fine Sunday afternoon lead me to this gorgeous spot. "Queensland.. The sunshine state" and buoy, oh buoy did it live up to its slogan. (Yes, I know. That was a terrible joke, but I just had too.)
This view was too good to pass up a perfect photo opportunity. Something about the repetition of the never ending corridor is just so captivating. Even though the tide was quickly rising and the waves were getting rougher as the seconds flew by, I still stood there camera in hand and just admired the view I had.
I am so grateful that I have such beautiful views in my own backyard. Finding a new appreciation for what I have around me and in my hometown was one of my New Years resolutions, and I believe that I'm able to say I've achieved that goal.
As this is a pet friendly beach, there was a never ending supply of dogs running around and interacting with each other. The happiness that fulfilled these creatures was indescribable, you had to see it to believe it. Numerous sets of perfectly imprinted outlines of their paws filled the sand and there wasn't a single wave that didn't have a dog surfing it.
One of the most relaxing things to do is just sit on the beach, in the sun and watch the happiness that sweeps over everyone. There's not a care in the world, no grumpy faces, no uniforms or business clothes. Just pure relaxation, joy and happiness. It's amazing how something simple, such as fresh air, water and sand can completely change someone's day.
So please, leave me some feedback on my posts. I'd love to know what you think and take onboard any tips you may have.
Follow me, my journey, my experiences, my memories and see the world through my eyes.
Until next time, Mia xx
Ps. My friend has my laptop charger and my computer is currently dead :( Lucky I had this post sitting in my drafts as a back up! It's frustrating trying to write and browse blogs on my phone, so hopefully I'll have a working laptop again by the end of the week. Can't wait to catch up on your blogs and I have some posts I want to write that I can't wait to share :)
