"Nature always wears the colours of the spirit" - Ralph Waldo Emerson .
There is nothing on this planet that clears my mind more than a good hike; and where else to do it than in the Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland. The fresh alpine air mixed with the fragrance of heather and stunning scenery of glacier valleys and beaches cleanses the senses. Cold temperatures and gale winds present themselves as a reminder that you are ALIVE!
The Mourne wall captured in the photo was built between 1904-1922 and stretches for 22 miles across 15 mountains within the Mourne mountain range. It was designed to mark the catchment area for the Silent Valley Reservoir ( a bucket list essential )!
