3/06/2020. Webinarium "The Great Reset" by World Economic Forum

by Krystyna Knypl June. 03, 2020 153 views

Interesting idea but I wonder, looking a the keynote speakers, whether this is a reshuffling of the chairs? As we move into a post-postmodern era we need different thinking. Covid-19 is the biggest social and political disruptor since the beginning of the 20th Century. The world is not going to be the same going forward. For a decade I have been trying to chart the identity of a possible new direction being suggested by many people as it emerges in multiple non-mainstream fronts. Perhaps there is another direction emerging? It can be summarised very simply as: "Our urgent challenge is to establish an economically prudent, environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, socially responsible, and socially just presence on the planet as a new guiding principle for our time. We can do this by reflecting more on the importance of abundance, diversity, context, inquiry, love, possibility, quality, respect, reciprocity, dialogue, and relationships.”  Some reflections on some of these are at https://chstirton.wordpress.com/tag/transmodernism/

The importance of abundance - this is probably the key issue to redefine in post COVID 19 era.
