August 7. Most of my day was spent getting things around for camping this weekend. I hauled everything upstairs, just to figure out that we are stuck with my little cavalier, so we won't be able to bring most of our camping stuff…oh well…

We went to the gym, Ed ran 5 miles, I was attempting to do my long run of 6 miles today, however, my shins and knee hurt so bad, I just stuck with one mile, then lifted and rode the bike a few miles. Darn injuries!!!

After the gym, we went to Meijer to gather stuff for our weekend away, came home….packed some more, and hit the hay!

15 days until our first 10 mile road race! YIKES….10 miles, what was I thinking :) Hope everyone has a great weekend, I will be camping with my family until Sunday :)

I hauled this thing upstairs yesterday to set my sewing machine on it. Now, I don't sew that often, but I had some things that needed fixing, and I hate hauling out the sewing machine everytime I need it…so the things had been piling up, and then I decided just to set it up permantly….maybe I'll get inspired :)

This is some of my stuff in the shelf part of that brown shelf in the first pic…

Okay, so I am still stuck in the childhood trance of being fascinated by the new kids on the block….get over it! Anyway, Their track lisitng came out today for their new cd that will come out Sept 2! So, I am totally buying it! And I can't wait until October, because we have tickets to see their show in Detroit!!!!!!!!!!

Just a little portion of what we bought to take camping this weekend….ugh, we always WAY OVER pack stuff, but it's all good! Looking forward to a fun weekend!

Also, just a little portion of what has to fit in the cavalier! I think after much consideration, we are leaving a lot of what we have at home. Last year, we borrowed Ed's sister's van, and still everything wouldn't fit….how do we have this much stuff for just two people? Things that have to fit in the cavalier:

1 tote for the tent
1 tote for dry food
1 cooler for food
1 cooler for drinks
1 bag for bathroom stuff
1 bag of clothes
1 bag of towels, extension cords, a mini fan, rope, plates, silverwear…etc
1 broom
1 fan
4 pillows
1 air matress
5 blankets
2 camp chairs
and a partridge in a pear tree

and….if we have room
1 table
1 grill
1 pop up shade covering

Good thing Ed is a mover and knows how to maximize space…we'd be screwed! haha!

The best part of camping is definitely the food. And I hope you guys brought stuff for s'mores!

Love the new desk. Also, NKOTB was totally my first concert ever and I still love them!! I'm pretty sure I still have some of my old stuff (dolls, pillowcase, pins etc.) around somewhere too. :)
Oh and you pack like I do, haha. At least you're sure to be prepared!! Did you actually manage to fit it all? We had a rough time fitting all 3 of our stuff in my elantra, and it's not that small!

We always overpack food when going away too - I think choice is half the fun! :)

Speaking of which, have fun camping this weekend! And I hope your sewing machine set-up inspires you often!
