We can do this!!!!

August 29.

Well…today was the day! Ed registered for his MARATHON (26.2 miles) and I registered for my HALF MARATHON!!! (13.1 miles)

It's so exciting!!! He is running the Detroit Marathon on October 19, and the cool thing about it is that he gets to run thru the tunnel to Windsor, run a few miles in Windsor, then they get to run back into Michigan over the bridge! HOW COOL! He is so excited :) He gets a special green bib to tell the crowd that he is a first time marathoner! How fun, I am so proud of him, and so excited for him to cross that finish line! I am his number one fan, so I am always proud of everything he does :)

My half marathon is on October 5th in the Auburn Hills area…our second home pretty much during the Pistons season! It's an innagural half marathon, so we get special medals when we finish! It's half trail, half road, and the course looks beautiful. We run down by Oakland University and that area is absolutely beautiful…especially since it will be in the fall season..the trails will probably be so beautiful…one problem….they don't allow ipods, so I am going to have to practice running without music. Running always seems so much longer without music! Yikes!

I know that Ed will be there cheering me on! His sister just told me that when Ed called his mom after he ran the 10 mile Crim, that his mom said “Any girl that chases you for 10 miles is worth marrying!” haha….I thought that was so sweet!

We hit the gym earlier today, I did the treadclimber (which if you haven't done that before….I reccommend it…what a workout!) and, Ed ran 5 miles….Then we went to get some crab legs for dinner :)

Ed broke the desk, so this is him fixing it :) haha.

He is registering for the marathon :)

This is him with the confirmation paper….Cost to run the Detroit Marathon….a cool $91.05

Me…I registered for the Brooksie Way 1/2 Marathon….for a cool…$64.90. Please excuse that fact that I look totally gross…we just got back from the gym…Thanks :) haha….

WOW! I'm so impressed that you're going to do this! You rock! But seriously... no iPods?? That seems really stupid. Working out always goes faster with music! :(

More Marathans - you two are machines :) hahaha in a good way though!! My knees can't handle running... they don't approve!!

And what is this about them not allowing iPods? That seems like a stranger rule? Do they explain why???
