Not sure if these lamps in the background are distracting or help the composition , rather dark though.

Yep... the lighter one for me.... The lights don't bother me at all

A very nice little scene! Less distracting in the lighter version for me... my eye always goes to the lightest area first.

Great shot nevertheless - the lights seem to draw your eyes in to the main subjects - I had to really look to decide how many bikes there are!!!!
