Upon early arrival from the early flight, we started our journey to the famous Borobudur and Prambanan temples for the day trip. It was a very hot day.

The Mount Merapi (Gunung Merapi) seen during the flight when approaching Jogja. It's one of the most active volcano in Indonesia and still smoking.

The highest peak of Borobudur which is represented by a main dome, located at the center of the top platform, is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues seated inside perforated stupa.

What a cute guardian stone lion! That's the 1st time I've seen a smiling one.
