It's the final full day tour in Jogja ‘coz the flight home next day was so early, there’ll be no time for anything else. The day began with a trip to the famous Parangtritis beach, which is one of the most popular beaches in Jogja, followed by a lunch around the Kraton area. After lunch we headed to Malioboro Street for some small shopping before finally visiting the Candi Sambisari, a buried ancient Hindu temple found by some farmers while digging the soil in the padi field.

Sambisari is a 9th century Hindu temple located at Sambisari hamlet, Purwomartani village, Kalasan, Sleman regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The temple was buried about five metres underground. Parts of the original temple have been excavated . The temple is located about 8 km east of Yogyakarta near Adisucipto International Airport. It was believed to be buried under Mount Merapi volcanic ash.

Ancient walkway.

Some very fertile land due to the volcanic ash.

Linga again!

Yoni again!

That's the main temple.

Hmmm…looks like some small tiny creatures pointing at the structures. :D

Good training for climbers to be.

An odd stone, didn't look like it originally belongs there.

Going home…

Mount Merapi seen again along the way back to the hotel.

The morning sun before going to the airport for the flight back home.

At the Adisucipto International Airport.

Tempted to rent a space there?

OK time to go home…bye Jogja!
Wonderful photographs!!
