All Hallows(Samhain)

Samhain is a liminal time in which the world of the living and the ancestral realms overlap. This is the time for rememberance of the dead: candles are set in the window to welcome the beloved ancesters and to shine upon the path of the dead to bless them on their way.

In Christendom, All Hallows has be come all saints marked by the 1st November, to honor not only the saints but the souls of the departed.

Tonight on the ‘eve’ I lit a candle in my heart, to give my thanks to the ancesters who brought me here in this wonderful world of creation.
