Hiking La Sure

My friend, Oliver, took me up to the top of a local mountain, La Sure. It was only a 2.5 hour hike– we made good time. My first steps in the winter's snow were also on this mountain, for it never snowed in the valleys.

The cabin we stayed in is, basically, owned by nobody. People know about it, use it and keep it in decent shape throughout the year. It just so happened to be freezing this weekend, and I didn't bring an extra pair of pants. So we fired up the wood stove and uncorked some wine for the sake of our well being. After about 6 hours the cabin was warmer than the mountain breeze and my pants had finally thawed.

The next day, we woke up, melted some snow, went hiking, got lost and eventually made it home. It sure was a grand time.
