American Bandstand at SHS

Memorial Day weekend is the annual Alumni Weekend in Sistersville, WV. Every year the alumni classes from Sistersville High School get together to create floats centered around the year's theme. This year it was American Bandstand. There were sooo many cute floats and you could tell that everyone worked very hard. Here are a few shots from the parade.

Sistersville High School was closed after the graduating class of 1993. The towns of Sistersville and Middlebourne consolidated to form Tyler Consolidated High School. So this is always a fun weekend honoring a high school that brought so much life to the city of Sistersville. This will always be Tiger Country.

This is Sistersville High School, circa 1909. I did not take this photo :)

Alumni of the SHS Tiger Band come together to play the school fight song and march in the parade. The fight song reminds me of a cheerleading camp I attended there in 1989. We learned how to do the roger rabbit.

These boys rocked out for the crowd. Check out how entranced the little guy is.

He played the triangle and, in my opinion, stole the show.

My buddy Drew is in a band in Columbus. He lends his musical talents to the Tiger Marching Band when he's in town. Check out Cacti [] on My Space.

These girls were doing the swim on their float! It was adorable!

The class of 1958 has been working on their float for the last 5 years.

The class of 78 did a Disco Duck theme…it was very cute and a big hit with the small fans at the parade.

Members of the Tyler Consolidated Silver Knight band.

My friend Olivia drove her cousin Miss Lower West Fork River Fest in the parade. I had to snap a photo…they were looking so hott!
