The gladioli flower gets its name from the Latin word gladius, meaning sword. Another name they are called is sword lily. Interesting the flower‘s meaning can mean either a symbol of sincerity or some level of exasperation. My husband bought these for me from the farmers‘s market today, hmmmm ,,
