dineLA Restaurant Week is a two-week dining event established to introduce diners to the vast array of restaurants in neighborhoods throughout LA County. Local foodies and visitors to LA have the opportunity to enjoy a selection of specially priced three-course meals from some of LA's best restaurants during this dining event. Today Linda and I took our co-worker Aaron there to celebrate his birthday. It was not the first time for any of us, but speaking for myself, it was one of my most enjoyable visits Aaron and I chose this appetizer: Cucumber Rolled Spicy Big Eye Tuna - Hearts of Palm Puree, Ruby Grapefruit and Tobiko My Entree choice: Grilled Columbia River White Sturgeon - Coriander Spiced Yam, Rapini, Baby Roasted Beets, Pearled Barley and Oregano Linda and Aaron's entree choice: California “Pacific Ridgeback” Swordfish - Tomato-Date Chutney, Tiny Squash, Cumin Scented Zucchini Puree and Chick Pea Panisse. This is how it was described on the menu but I'm not sure that's exactly what it came with Linda's dessert: Red Velvet Pudding - Mascarpone Ice Cream Aaron and my dessert choice: Blueberry Mascarpone Cake - Creme Fraiche Ice Cream and Blueberry Sorbet. Linda's dessert was the winner!
