Riverside Walk

There are a number of rivers that run quite close to where we live.

This walk is along the path beside the river Frome. Off of the main path there are usually some interesting things to photograph.

River weir

There are a number of weirs along the river, usually close to a site where there was at one time a water wheel t service a mill.

A bike and a bench

A number of pathways lead away from the river path and into open parks.

This was lucky timing to catch this moment.

Old open air swimming pool

This building was once a busy open air swimming pool but fell into disrepair at the coming of the large leisure centres. It is now a permaculture space and many wild plants have taken over the inside.

Rock life

Local cafe

We finished our walk having some lunch at the local cafe.

Wow! It looks like there were a lot of interesting things to photograph on this walk. I really like the black and white photo with the cyclist and the old swimming pool that nature is taking over. It's great to finish a walk at a local cafe, and that last photo at the cafe is amazing! Well done!

Thank you Helen, your comments mean a lot. The old swimming pool was a surprise find and it was good to see it had been preserved and not pulled down.
