Kueh Makers

BATU PAHAT, MALAYSIA: In common with most towns in Malaysia there is a large Pasar Pagi (Morning Market) in Batu Pahat. It's one of my very favourite places to go and take pictures.

I confess I've never found out how early it opens, and usually arrive around 9:30 or 10am, towards the end of business. One constant seems to be this stall selling small sweet coconut cakes. I suggest that these could be considered a form of Kueh, which are sweet local cakes. They are really rather yummy!

On this morning I was shooting Fuji Acros. I like the contrast and how very differently it behaves to the Ilford films that I'm most used to. It is indeed very black and white!
