Chinese New Year, Lunar New Year and or Spring Festival (in mainland China) - all refers to the Chinese celebrating the beginning of the New Year according to the Chinese calendar. This year, the Lunar New Year begins on Saturday, 25th January 2020 ushering in the Year of the Rat.

To begin this Lunar New Year series, we start with a visit to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Singapore. This temple is located in Chinatown. The design of this temple is a Northern Chinese style with arts from Tang Dynasty and Japanese inspired architecture.
