1 No names ... SOLVED!

UPDATE : A big shout out to Shah for sharing his knowledge of the birds name!! Thank you Shah - You are A champion!!

I am a 'newbie' where bird photography is concerned. It interests me greatly however, I am unable to go out early in the morning to hunt for birds. So, I shoot birds when out and about during the day. I love it whenever the bird is about to fly and have its wings spread out but so difficult to capture the action!

Anyway, these photos were shot both in France and Asia in the 'wild'.

The title - No names ... yet - is because I do not know the bird's species except for pigeons, sparrows, you know, the common birds that we encountered in our daily life. So if you recognize any of the birds in my photo, shout it out! I would be grateful that you shared your knowledge with me!

White breasted waterhen

Of course, is a pigeon

Yellow vented bulbul. Love that wing in action!!

Red Whiskered bulbul

Straited heron

Javan myna

Green sandpiper

This sparrow was shot outside the window and just as I was trying to get nearer, it flew away. I just love the wing action!

Please accept my apology for this late reply, Jim. Thank you for your comment. I really appreciate it. Yes, I kind of fell in love with Bird Photography but have yet to reach that kind of a commitment where you wake up very very early in the morning, hide in the bushes or something else .... Wishing you a great weekend!

Nice photos! When i first started birdwatching, i can barely get any usable shots. They move so fast!!

#1 is White breasted waterhen.
#4 is yellow vented bulbul.
#5 is correct but also named red whiskered bulbul.
#6 is Striated heron.
#7 is actually a Javan myna.
#8 could be a green sandpiper. Not sure too but at least it's narrowed down blush
#9 is a house sparrow.

Hope these IDs help and Congrats on getting a number of species shots! Birdwatching is such an addictive hobby! Good luck!!
