This is the general neighbourhood my wife grew up in post-WW2 when this is where the po' folk lived. Her father bought a 10 acre parcel for $5000 or less in 1945. There was no city water, no hydro, no sewer, no phone, no nuttin'. The "road" was simply two ruts wandering south from Hwy #1 (present day Frazer Hwy.) to the former Sternwheeler landing stage at the Frazer River. You lived there 'cause you couldn't afford to live anywhere else. How ironic that nowadays people live elsewhere 'cause they can't afford to live there......... BTW, Every year we buy our annual blueberry supply at Onnink's farm; five boxes worth; just put 'em straight into the deep freeze. They keep wonderfully. Their product is completely organic. No chemicals, no 'cides of any kind and the berries are big and sweet.
