Hearing some great music we stopped in to watch this group practicing for a program…

This big beautiful building was the first Kress store..I remembered Kress's five and dime store when I was little..it had everything, especially pretty dolls..Memphis was the town for several first stores in the south..

Sue stopped to talk to this driver..we petted the horse..some had Percherons and the one Clydesdale..

Most of them had a big dog…she had two little ones..this custom is for novelty now..it was a necessity for protection..

I liked this horse, dog and carriage..

Cougar covered with comic strips..we had our picture taken here but it's on someone else's camera..

A gift shop combined band-dance floor at night..lot of Elvis souveniers here..

These ladies had to watch the horses carefully and maneuver around the cars and people..

An eagle flying high on this Kress building

Trollies or carriage rides…I liked both!

She tied him up to go inside a shop to get him some snacks..

Art museum

This shows how the comic strips were fitted onto the statue so well..

People walking all sizes, kinds of dogs..

Small park..think it was the Elvis Presley Park..

Of course I had to visit with the horse..

Ready to roll again..very nice horsey

I liked this horse too..but we chose another carriage…

Laid back

Great sax music..reminded me of New Orleans streets..

An old wall and a spot designated for dogs to use…

The streets are lovely, the shops interesting, what a charming place!
