Tree Removal Process (Fascinating)

by Sara G May. 07, 2015 2670 views

I watched from my porch all morning as he very carefully executed this procedure!

Four 100 year old Oaks all uprooted at once by a twister two weeks ago..A big scare and a mess. Now looks good. But I miss them as I grew up playing under them..lots of memories.

Flowers pushed up and bloomed even though this huge weight was on them..a lesson of strength here.

We didn't know the middle of some were rotting.

It will be a loss, but isn't nature teaching us a lesson to see that delicate beauty (flowers) grows strong all around the remains of such strength.

Were you able to salvage some log slabs for keepsakes... we had two at the cottage that we used as "end tables". One of my friends used 2-3" slabs as stepping stones in the garden.

But I think maybe as they were rotting could be the reason they fell in the Twisters......so much firewood but so brave those flowers.

Imagination going here, I can see a monkey face shape in the trunk in the 2nd.
Glad you took your distance away from this though.
