My Patio Garden And Surprise Melon

by Sara G June. 19, 2016 1586 views

Discovered the melon vine just about two weeks ago..one plant, several vines growing from it and four melons growing that I see. Hubby said it won't grow to maturity because they use hybrid seed that can't be re-used. Sure looks like it will to me..it's growing so fast. May not be good to eat but fun to watch grow.

It's growing at the fence where I throw left-over melons over the fence for the horses to devour..they love them as much as we do.

Sweet bell pepper

Really good tomatoes

My surprise melon..not as big as it looks here

Also a smaller one

A big vine

Another one hidden in there

And this wee one just beginning to grow..it's fuzzy.

I wish I could grow melons just by throwing seed over the fence! Let us know if they are eventually edible.
