so we went up to the alps. it was icy but hot. we were not prepared from the snow-glare, and my roommate and i (being whiteys) got totally sunburned.but it was pretty much the most breathtaking, increibile thing ever. whoa, an alp! what an intriguing little plant! looks like…. 30 more miles to go verrés… what a charming little town. the waterfall that we went swimming in… before we realized that snow melt is really, really cold. this was a really random grotto in saint jacques. ICE WATERFALL ALPS! SNOW MEADOW i felt like i should be in a national geographic article. i think this was fall number 8. ironic, because i didn't slip on the snow this time. best drinking water ever. yep, made it to lago blu… a big expanse of snow. an even more random shrine to mary. where we had our lovely refreshments after a long, difficult hike up the top of the world. pensive dre. or maybe just tired. saint-jacques - what a cutie! much-needed post-hike nourishment.
