Many of our Cambridgeshire woodlands provide an ideal habitat and setting for the photography of butterflies. Gamlingay Wood is on a clay soil which makes paths slippery in winter, but in summer the purple loosestrife attracts a variety of butterflies, such as this brimstone, and adds colour to the image.
