Great Tits (Parus major), Barnwell Country Park (Northants), March 2020

If you blink, you miss it. If I hadn't been taking bursts of pictures of these great tits attracted to the food in the wood, I may have missed what happened. The male (on the left) is spreading his wings and calling at the female (on the right) to assert his dominance and collect the food in the broken branch. This happened in a fraction of a second. Having spotted this on one burst of shots, I then watched for further interactions and managed to capture some more of these events.

Your pictures are amazing. I wish I could photograph nature the way you do.

This is a great capture. Shooting birds and wildlife in general is not easy at all.
