Like most of the wildlife photographers whom I know, the dream shot is a kingfisher (preferably emerging from the water with a catch). On this particular two-hour stint sitting in the hide, the kingfisher failed to materialise, however I did manage to obtain this shot of a male shoveler with his reflection. It turned into a very positive day later as I also took some excellent shots of redpoll and siskin, birds I rarely see.
