Sunrise Sunset

Its only been in the last few years that I've really taken an interest in sunsets. It was only a job change that required me to look at a sunrise. I learnt pretty quickly that they aren't all the same. I search for them now.

Some are covered in cloud and there is nothing to see at all. Some have no cloud to throw the colour and are kind of dull. There's nothing wrong with either but they don't grab your attention. They don't fill you with awe and amazement. They don't change your emotions, don't make you contemplate the world and your place it, or inspire you to take the steps in the direction you really want to take. But some do!

Some sunsets have those little extras too, A sunrise over water, or dead trees, or a boat in the background, a tree branch on the edge, or rolling hills. Whatever it is, it does something to make you go WOW.

Sunsets and sunrises are like people. You want to start the day and end the day with an amazing one. Some inspire and thrill us, some just aren't our particular blend of tea. You look for those people who have your particlar brand of “extras” to make you go WOW as well.

And I'm not saying some people are grey and cloudy or dull and colourless; far from it. What I am saying is we should do everything in our power, everything within our being, to be an amazing sunrise or sunset. To motivate, to excite, to inspire and colour the life of others. And when you find someone like that, just like when we raise our cameras (or these days, our iPhones) and take a picture, do everything we can to hang on to them. Hopefully you get the sunset, the photo and the person you want to keep forever.
