As my time in China winds down, I find myself with a desire to stay at home. My next move will be Australia or New Zealand. These neighbours are cultural and sporting rivals but it’s not really that fierce. They are more like siblings who fight with each other but will also fight for each other. I’ve lost the desire to travel the globe. It’s time to set down some routes and explore closer to home. I’ve seen a lot galavanting around the globe. I feel though that I’ve missed a lot as well closer to home & it’s time to really explore where I am from.

My last post I put up photos from various cities around the world that have captured a little piece of my heart. I love these cities and a few of them I have been fortunate to visit way more than once. It was hard to pick only six of my favourite photos of my favourite cities dotted around the globe. The beautiful and unique images some of these cities hand me will be with me forever.

If I’m honest however, the cities of my homeland have handed me the same and so much more. When I look at some of these photos I can’t help but feel they are now beckoning me to come back. I can’t help but feel stupid for not heeding that call last time I was home.

There are so many more images of city night and city lights to chase. There are so many more early mornings before the sun and late evenings watching the lights come on and the sky slide from blue to black. There are so many more images to capture right on my doorstop. There are cities I still haven’t captured or haven’t really captured to my satisfaction.

I’ve made a lot of mistakes and I don’t know much. But I know it’s time.
Amazing pictures
Thanks
