Weathering the Weather - Whether We Like it or Not

Saturday, June 14:

We went to my nephew's graduation party at about 1pm in the afternoon. It seemed like a very nice day, a little blustery, but no rain. We left there around 3pm to do a few errands and got home around 4pm. Then the rain started again, lots and lots of rain, followed by hail and then more rain. The ground cannot absorb any more water and all my flowers are water-logged!

We have no choice but to go with the flow (of water)…maybe next week we will be swimming to work ;-)

I won't complain too much - I am thankful we are not in one of the 83 out of 99 Iowa counties that have been declared disaster areas.

My nephew, Jeff, the latest high school graduate.

My daughter, Amber, and granddaughter, Isabelle.

Wife of my nephew, Kevin. We don't think Shana will make it until August 26!

Oh, hail!

A common sight around here anymore!

Rain, rain, go away. Little Cathy wants to play!

Great set ~ I especially like the last two. My in-laws live in Iowa City & we're getting daily updates. And the updates aren't good!
